GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING
CUPE 3909 will hold the 2019 General Membership Meeting on Monday, November 4 at 3:30 in the Cross Common Room (108 St. John’s College). You will hear Executive Reports, Unit 1 and 2 Updates, Trustees’ Audit Report and the Treasurer will present a budget.

UMSAN-RSM (Student Action Network) and Revolutionary Student Movement – Winnipeg are working together to fight tuition and the potential lifting of the cap on tuition which currently keeps it at the rate of inflation. On April 18 they will host a rally to oppose tuition increases and tuition altogether. See the event page for more updates.

Dr Henry Heller is a professor of history at the University of Manitoba. He is the author of The Cold War and the New Imperialism; The Bourgeois Revolution in France and Labour, Science and Technology in France 1500-1620. He is also a longstanding contributor to and active member of the Canadian Dimension Magazine editorial Collective. Discussion followed by tapas and a cash bar. RALLY TO… Join us at 3:30 on 27 January, 2015 to tell the University Governors to stop budget cuts to our education. ENGINEERING ATRIUM in the Engineering and Information Technology Complex (EITC) The University of Manitoba administration is asking all faculties to seek significant budget cuts over the next two years. The Unit 2 Bargaining Committee will be holding a series of presentations (10:00, 12:00, 2:00) regarding the proposed changes to the Unit 2 – SESSIONAL ACADEMIC WORKERS – collective agreement which have been under negotiations for some time. Please make sure you come out to one of these sessions. Attending the presentation is crucial to be properly informed as to the many language and concept changes in this contract.
